Since this is a technological era, there’s an increasing need for cybersecurity. This is no longer a time to fight with traditional guns and missiles. A cyberattack can paralyze a country’s defense system, disrupt its bank transactions, and allow for sensitive information to be stolen by hacking into government computers. It’s encouraging to see awareness about digital security in a developing region like Bahawalpur. Hopefully, these young scouts will become assets to the nation in the future.
These thoughts were expressed by guests of honor, District Emergency Officer Baqir Hussain, Arts Council Bahawalpur Director Abid Hassan Rizvi, and the political and social leader Mrs. Aasia Kamil, while addressing the three-day Cyber Scouts training’s certificate distribution ceremony. They appreciated the efforts of young cyber expert Muhammad Asad Ul Rehman, saying that we urgently need to run a nationwide awareness campaign for digital security.
On this occasion, cyber expert Muhammad Asad Ul Rehman presented a summary of the training, stating that the widespread use of the internet in Pakistan has led to a rapid increase in cybercrimes. The volunteer training is intended to educate the younger generation about cybersecurity and modern IT, as well as secure their future. The training’s primary objective was to enable ordinary citizens to use the internet safely, preventing such issues from arising. However, if problems occur, participants were instructed on how to address them with the cooperation of national institutions. He said that the platform allows the younger generation to gain awareness about the use of modern technology.
At the end of the ceremony, certificates were distributed to the participating students. Saad ul Rehman Malik, Safety Officer Shaukat Javed, Ayaz Kaliar, Zeeshan Abbasi, Afzal Yousaf, Dr. Abdul Rahman Arain, Asif Hashmi, Sajjad Vahgi, Malik Tariq Arain, Bilal Turk, Faiz Rasool Hashmi, Dawood Zafar, Mian Umar Amjad, and Shehroz Ashraf participated in the event.
موجودہ دور میں سائبر سکیورٹی کی ضرورت و اہمیت میں اضافہ ہوتا جارہا ہے۔ چونکہ یہ ٹیکنالوجی کا دور ہے، اب روایتی بندوقوں، میزائلوں سے لڑنے کا دور نہیں رہا بلکہ سائبر حملہ کر کے کسی ملک کا دفاعی نظام ہی مفلوج کیا جاسکتا ہے، اس کے بینکوں کی ٹرانزیکشن متاثر کی جاسکتی ہیں، حکومتوں کے کمپیوٹرز میں گھس کر حساس معلومات چرائی جاسکتی ہیں۔بہاول پور جیسے پسماندہ خطہ میں ڈیجیٹل سکیورٹی سے متعلق آگاہی خوش آئند ہے۔امید ہے کہ مستقبل میں یہ نوجوان سکاؤٹس ملک و قوم کا اثاثہ ثابت ہوں گے۔ان خیالات کا اظہارمہمانانِ خصوصی ڈسٹرکٹ ایمرجنسی آفیسر باقر حسین، ڈائریکٹر آرٹس کونسل بہاول پور عابد حسن رضوی، سیاسی و سماجی راہنما مسز آسیہ کامل نے تین روزہ سائبر سکاؤٹس ٹریننگ کی تقریب تقسیم اسناد سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کیا۔انہوں نے نوجوان سائبرایکسپرٹ محمداسدالرحمٰن کی کاوشوں کو سراہتے ہوئے کہا کہ ڈیجیٹل سکیورٹی کے لیے ہمیں ملک بھر میں آگاہی مہم چلانے کی اشد ضرورت ہے۔ اس موقع پر سائبرایکسپرٹ محمداسدالرحمٰن نے ٹریننگ کا خلاصہ پیش کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ پاکستان میں انٹرنیٹ کے عام ہونے کی وجہ سے سائبر کرائمز میں تیزی سے اضافہ ہوا ہے۔ رضاکارانہ ٹریننگ کا مقصد نوجوان نسل کوسائبر سیکیورٹی اور جدید آئی ٹی کے حوالے سے آگاہ کرنا اور ان کا مستقبل محفوظ بنانا ہے۔ ٹریننگ کا بنیادی مقصد بھی عام شہریوں کو اس قابل بنانا تھا کہ وہ انٹرنیٹ کا محفوظ طریقے سے استعمال کرسکیں تاکہ ایسے مسائل کی نوبت ہی نہ آئے۔اگر پھر بھی اس طرح کا مسئلہ پیش آتا ہے تو گھبرانے کے بجائے اپنے قومی اداروں کے تعاون سے ان مسائل سے نمٹنے کا طریقہ کار بتایا گیا۔انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم نے ایسا پلیٹ فارم مہیا کر دیا ہے جس سے نوجوان نسل جدید ٹیکنالوجی کے استعمال سے آگاہی حاصل کر سکتے ہیں۔تقریب کے اختتام پر ٹریننگ میں حصہ لینے والے طلبہ و طالبات میں اسناد تقسیم کی گئیں۔اس موقع پر سعدالرحمٰن ملک،سیفٹی آفیسر شوکت جاوید، ایاز کلیار، ذیشان عباسی،افضال یوسف، ڈاکٹر عبدالرحمٰن ارائیں،آصف ہاشمی، سجاد واہگی،ملک طارق ارائیں،بلال ترک، فیض رسول ہاشمی، داؤد ظفر، میاں عمر امجد اور شہروز اشرف نے خصوصی طور پر شرکت کی۔
