CS Zone is proud to share that Muhammad Asad Ul Rehman was invited as a Guest Speaker at Ibadat International University Islamabad (IIUI) for a thought-provoking seminar on “The Role of Academic Institutions in Preparing Youth Against the Threat of Cybercrimes.” The event was held on May 24, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the University’s main auditorium and was attended by students, faculty members, and cybersecurity enthusiasts.

The seminar opened with an insightful discussion on the rising wave of cybercrimes, including phishing, hacking, identity theft, and cyberbullying. Participants were introduced to real-world examples showing how these threats impact individuals, businesses, and critical infrastructure. Muhammad Asad Ul Rehman emphasized the importance of education as a first line of defense, encouraging academic institutions to integrate cybercrime awareness, prevention strategies, and hands-on training into their curriculum.

Throughout the session, students were guided on the essential skills needed to stay secure online, such as spotting suspicious activity, safeguarding their digital identity, and responding appropriately to security incidents. Collaborative approaches were discussed, highlighting how universities, government agencies, and cybersecurity professionals can work together to build a stronger and more resilient digital ecosystem.

The seminar also included practical measures and policy recommendations to strengthen institutional cybersecurity, from regular awareness workshops to incident response planning and secure IT infrastructure. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A where students shared their concerns and ideas, reflecting a strong commitment to making cybersecurity a shared priority.
