According to the details, fake advertisements are being spread on social media in the name of the Government of Pakistan, through which the personal information of innocent citizens is obtained and used to hack their data. These views were expressed by Muhammad Asad Ul Rehman, a cyber expert at Cyber Security of Pakistan, while giving details to the media about the fake advertisements circulating on social media.
He said that fake advertisements related to coronavirus, ration packages, application forms for unemployed people, and others are circulating on social media. In addition, the personal information of innocent citizens is also being obtained through fake forms using SMS or the name of the government, and that information is used to hack data and bank accounts and withdraw money from them.
The general public is informed that before sharing data from unknown sources, they should verify it from the websites of the relevant government departments. The public should refrain from spreading such fake advertisements and report them to the relevant authorities.
سوشل میڈیا پر جعلی اشتہارات، لوگوں کو فراڈ ایس ایم ایس اور ای میلز کی بھر مار۔تفصیلات کے مطابق سوشل میڈیا پرحکومت پاکستان کے نام سے جعلی اشتہارات پھیلائے جا رہے ہیں جن کے ذریعے معصوم شہریوں کی ذاتی معلومات حاصل کر کے ان کا ڈیٹا ہیک کرنے کے لیے استعمال کیا جاتا ہے۔ ان خیالات کا اظہار سائبر سکیورٹی آف پاکستان کے سائبرایکسپرٹ محمداسدالرحمن نے سوشل میڈیا پر گردش کرنے جعلی اشتہارات کے متعلق میڈیا کو تفصیلات بتاتے ہوئے کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ سوشل میڈیا پر کورونا وائرس، راشن پیکج،درخواست فارم برائے بے روزگار افراد و دیگر جعلی اشتہارات گردش کر رہے ہیں۔علاوہ ازیں بذیعہ ایس ایم ایس یا پھر حکومت کا نام استعما ل کر کے جعلی فارمز کے ذریعے بھی معصوم شہریوں کی ذاتی معلومات حاصل کی جا رہیں اور وہ معلومات ڈیٹا ہیک کرنے، بینک اکاؤنٹ ہیک کر کے اس میں سے پیسے نکالنے کے لیے استعمال کی جاتی ہیں۔عوام الناس کو مطلع کیا جاتا ہے کہ انجان ذرائع پر ڈیٹا شیئر کرنے سے پہلے حکومت کے متعلقہ اداروں کی ویب سائٹس سے تصدیق کر لیں۔ عوام کو چاہیے کہ ایسے جعلی اشتہارات پھیلانے سے گریز کریں اور اس کے متعلق متعلقہ اداروں کو رپورٹ کریں۔
