Fake links circulating on social media on behalf of the government’s one-lakh laptop program, money from the Ehsaas program and various campaigns. Criminals are creating fake websites and spreading their links on social media, where users are lured with gifts from various companies and then have their data stolen. Users are being offered rewards for sharing such links in groups.
Cybersecurity expert Muhammad Asad Ul Rehman expressed these views while talking to the media about the fake links circulating on social media these days. He said that there is no truth in such links, nor will any gifts be given. After clicking on such links, fake web pages open where users enter their personal information, which criminals can use for any purpose. Users are instructed not to click on any such links or spread them further. Group admins should try to remove those who spread such fake links so that the spread of such links can be stopped.
سوشل میڈیا پر حکومت کی جانب سے ایک لاکھ لیپ ٹاپ، احساس پروگرام کی جانب سے پیسے و مختلف کمپینیز کے نام سے جعلی لنک گردش کررہے ہیں۔جرائم پیشہ افراد جعلی ویب سائٹس بنا کر ان کے لنکس سوشل میڈیا پر پھیلا رہے ہیں جن میں صارفین کو مختلف کمپنیوں کی طرف سے گفٹ کا لالچ دے کر ڈیٹا چوری کیا جا رہا ہے۔صارفین کو ایسے لنک گروپس میں شیئر کرنے پر انعام کی لالچ دی جاتی ہے۔ان خیالات کا اظہار سائبر سکیورٹی ایکسپرٹ محمد اسد الرحمن نے ان دنوں سوشل میڈیا پر گردش کرنے والے جعلی لنکس کے متعلق میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ایسے لنکس میں کوئی صداقت نہیں نہ ہی کوئی گفٹ دیا جائے گا۔ایسے لنکس پر کلک کرنے کے بعد جعلی ویب پیج کھل جاتے ہیں جن پر صارفین اپنی ذاتی معلومات درج کر دیتے ہیں جو کہ جرائم پیشہ افراد کسی بھی مقصد کے لیے استعمال کر سکتے ہیں۔ صارفین کو ہدایت کی جاتی ہے کہ وہ کسی ایسے لنک پر کلک نہ کریں اور نہ ہی ایسے لنکس کو آگے پھیلائیں۔ گروپ ایڈمن کوشش کریں کہ ایسے جعلی لنک پھیلانے والوں کو ریموو کر دیں تا کہ ایسے لنکس پھیلنے سے روکا جا سکے۔
